Projet SAUV\u00e9<\/sup>R \u2013 SS\u00e9<\/sup> Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong><\/p>\n

Varennes, Saint-Fulgence, Saint-Simeon, Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, Maniwaki, Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Carleton-sur-Mer, Saint-Constant, Mercier and the MRC de Pontiac, are carrying out a project to reduce gas emissions (GHG) by introducing electric car-sharing vehicles into municipal fleets and setting up electric service stations. City employees will reserve and use electric vehicles for their needs during working hours. When not in use, electric vehicles will be made available to external users in the community.<\/p>\n

The project consists of acquiring ten electric vehicles (one per municipality), setting up a car-sharing management system, installing charging stations, designing scalable and adaptable long-term electric service stations in municipalities, build car-sharing stations and implement car-sharing in the community.<\/p>\n

Pilot project to implement the SAUVandR electric vehicle car-sharing system in the region (SAUV\u00e9R) Quebec<\/strong><\/p>\n

The SAUV\u00e9R concept enables participating municipalities to reduce GHG emissions and the environmental footprint in transportation, provides a true collaborative economy solution for municipalities and their communities, and helps develop an electric road in Quebec and Canada.<\/p>\n

6 municipalities participated in this project: Bromont, Nicolet, Plessisville, Rivi\u00e8re-du-Loup, Sainte-Julienne and Temiscouata-sur-le-Lac.<\/p>\n

The Truck and Specialized Transportation Electrification Project develops solutions to electrify trucks or some of their components to reduce GHG emissions and transportation-related environmental impacts.<\/p>\n

In partnership with the City of Nicolet and the Cities of Plessisville, Varennes and Beaconsfield, YHC Environnement is conducting a feasibility study on the electrification of trucks and municipal specialized transportation.<\/p>\n

AFMNB Electric Mobility Transition Project – TMe-AFMNB<\/strong><\/p>\n

AFMNB Electric Mobility Transition works for transportation electrification in New Brunswick and more specifically for municipalities that are members of l\u2019Association francophone des municipalit\u00e9s du Nouveau-Brunswick (AFMNB).<\/p>\n

In collaboration with YHC Environnement, AFMNB is building partnerships to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility through research, pilot projects, policies, programs and strategies for growth industry market share. AFMNB becomes a regional and provincial resource center by publishing relevant and up-to-date information on electric mobility in New Brunswick, Canada and elsewhere. AFMNB raises awareness, educates and promotes electric mobility to its member municipalities and their communities.<\/p>\n

Climate Change Transition – AFMNB<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Climate Change Transition Project – AFMNB provides municipalities that are members of the Francophone Association of New Brunswick with all the support they need to update their GHG inventories to ensure that progress is monitored action plans, and to check whether these GHG reduction measures are delivering the expected results. The AFMNB will also present the results of these measures and actions with dedicated tools and will check whether the emission reduction target will be achieved.<\/p>\n

9 municipalities are participating in this project: Bertrand, Dieppe, Kedgwick, Paquetville, Petit-Rocher, Pointe-Verte, Rogersville, Saint-Quentin and Shippagan.<\/p>\n

Projet \u00c9nergie Renouvelable et Efficacit\u00e9 \u00c9nerg\u00e9tique Biomasse (PEREEB) \u2013 Pilot Project<\/strong><\/p>\n

The study component enabled the Association francophone des municipalit\u00e9s du Nouveau-Brunswick (AFMNB) to implement a second component to carry out identified pilot projects. The selection of projects was made considering a return on investment at a rate of less than 15 years after the grant and according to the political will of the participating municipalities to use a biomass system. The biomass system allows the use of the locally or regionally produced residual biomass and to make improvements to the energy efficiency of the affected buildings.<\/p>\n

AFMNB’s PACC II allows municipalities to obtain the first 3 steps of 5 of the Partners in Climate Protection (CPP) program. Steps 4 and 5 are the implementation of action plans and monitoring and reporting results.<\/p>\n

Climate Change and Energy Initiatives (ICCE) of the UMNB<\/strong><\/p>\n

Several New Brunswick municipalities have joined Climate Change and Energy Initiatives (ICCE) of the Union of Municipalities of New Brunswick (UMNB) project and to strengthen their involvement they joined Partners for Climate Protection (CPP) program of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).<\/p>\n

The ICCE of the UMNB project aims to provide the necessary support to its members for the completion of their GHG inventory and local action plan as well as for their community and to integrate the QUEST approach that proposes energy planning for communities.<\/p>\n

11 municipalities are participating in this project: Dalhousie, Grand Bay-Westfield, Quispamsis, McAdam, Perth-Andover, Petitcodiac, Rexton, Rothesay, Saint John, Sussex et Woodstock.<\/p>\n
